The Dr Kalmadi Shamrao High School has withdrawn the fee hike it had announced. Ten days after issuing a circular hiking fees by Rs 8,000,it issued another one saying,Taking into consideration the feelings of our parents, the previous fee hike circular already sent, hereby, stands withdrawn.
On Tuesday,The Indian Express had highlighted the fee hike.
This letter signed by headmistress Kamini Saxena and vice president Kushal Hegde states that the management will exchange views with parents and find a solution in due course. It claims that before issuing the first circular, the matter had been brought to the notice of parents-teachers association members in a committee. However,it appears that after receiving the letter, some parents have different mixed feelings which has been brought to the notice of the school and management, it says.
The school is run by Kannada Sangh,Pune,Kaveri Group of Institutes. It is named after Pune sitting MP Suresh Kalmadis father. Suresh Kalmadi is a trustee.
