They will each be further assisted by teams of three-four faculty members, who will help them in giving suggestions and making suitable changes. WN Gade, director,BCUD,said,These five people will be assisting the V-C. There is a lot of pressure on the V-C,the registrar as well as me and thus the decision of decentralising the work.
The five have been appointed by the Vice Chancellor for a period of two years.
It is for the first time that we have decided to decentralise the work. These five people will be further helped by a small group of about 3-4 faculty members. They have already started working on the areas they have been deputed for, said Gade.
A few of the areas to be covered by these professors will be understanding faculty-related issues, assisting the V-C in the recruitment process,to suggest appropriate measures and ensure the better utilisation of infrastructure,to recommend suitable policies for the better functioning of the guest houses on the campus and to address all the non-academic matters related to students on the campus.
