A driver allegedly manhandled a police constable in an inebriated condition late on Sunday outside a slum in Cuffee Parade.
The police said during a combing operation, driver Deepak Banwarilal (38) was being questioned regarding a four-wheeler parked outside Geeta Nagar.
“An argument ensued between the two and Banwarilal pulled the constable from his name tag. The constable sustained no injury and Banwarilal was arrested,” said a police officer.
Banwarilal was let off on bail on Monday evening after paying a surety amount of Rs 5,000.
