The Azad Maidan Police Friday rounded off all those accused in the murder of a 39-year-old man, who was found gagged and naked inside his home in Dhobi Talao on August 3.

The Mumbai Police nabbed the 17-year-old nephew of the victim on Friday from Jaipur. Two men, including a masseuse, have already been arrested.

The deceased, Baburao Raori, a shopowner, was smothered to death in the wee hours of August 3. His body was found with a cloth inside and two dupattas tied over his mouth.

Last week, the police had arrested Sukhvir Singh, the alleged mastermind of the murder. Singh (20), a masseuse, used to massage Raoria three nights a week at the latter’s home.

“Raoria ran a photocopy shop and was also a moneylender. Singh hatched the plan to murder Raoria and roped in his friend as well as Raoria’s nephew to execute the plan,” said Vijay Kadam, senior police inspector, Azad Maidan.

“Singh has confessed that he had planned to execute the conspiracy when Raoria would next contact him for a massage, as his guards would be down then,” Kadam added.

On the night of the murder, police said, Singh contacted his accomplices after Raoria called him around12.15 am. “The motive behind the murder was money. However, till now, we have only recovered a gold chain and a mobile phone from the accused. We are yet to ascertain the total amount of the cash that was stolen,” Kadam added.

The police got their breakthrough when they traced Raoria’s call data records, which showed that his last conversation was with Singh. Singh had, after committing the murder, fled to Gadmukha village near Agra.

Shortly after Singh was picked up from Uttar Pradesh, his friend Ajay Saini too was nabbed . The Mumbai Police also caught hold of Raoria’s nephew from Jaipur on Friday.

On Saturday morning, a team of Azad Maidan police will return to Mumbai from Jaipur with Raoria’s nephew and and produce him before a juvenile court.
