To promote cashless transactions, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday bought oranges though digital mode. Fadnavis was seen making online payment for the oranges he purchased from Nagpur street.
The chief minister had last week launched ‘Mah-wallet’ to fight cash crunch situation post demonetisation. He has also asked state bankers to help realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for a cashless economy.
Fadnavis had earlier said the country could be made cashless in 2-3 months if tireless efforts were put into it.
