Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare is scheduled to be in Agra on April 3 to address a public meeting seeking implementation of Lokpal Bill and start a movement against use of party symbols during elections.
Team of his supporters under the banner ‘Rashtriya Sewa Mission’ are organising a Jan Jagriti Samaroh on April 3, where Anna would be the chief guest.
As per the schedule, Anna would also be visiting the Taj Mahal.
“Anna would be starting a movement against use of party symbols. We believe that the elections should be contested on faces of the individual candidates instead of party symbols to encourage individual identity,” said Rajendra Singh, one of the organisers.
“Anna would also be speaking on the issue of implementation of Lokpal Bill, and other improvements in the election process as per the constitution,” he added.
Singh said the formal office of Rashtriya Sewa Mission would also be launched during Anna’s visit from April 2 to April 4.
