AAP MLA Alka Lamba was on Wednesday granted bail by the Tis Hazari Court in connection with a case of allegedly vandalising shops of a BJP leader at Kashmere Gate in the national capital and deterring police from performing their duty.
Court granted Alka Lamba bail on personal bond of Rs 10,000 and surety of the same amount. Next hearing scheduled to take place on June 3.
Lamba and her supporters allegedly vandalised the shop during their anti-drug drive last year. In the CCTV footage of the incident, Lamba was seen with a group of people walking to the shop counter and throwing a billing machine after which a man next to her pushes everything off the table.
The Delhi police had booked Lamba under Sections 186 (Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount), 451 (House-trespass in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC.
