SHIV SENA Yuva Morcha’s state president Avdhesh Sharma and his two sons, Love and Komal, have been booked for allegedly opening fire at people during a Lohri function late Saturday at Tarsem Colony in Ludhiana. Their eight unnamed accomplices also figure in the FIR.
The accused had also attacked people with sharp weapons.
Two persons, Deepak Kumar and Taranjit Singh, suffered injuries. Deepak is admitted in Dayanand Medical College and Hospital where he is reportedly in a critical state.
Complainant in the case, Sunil Kumar, said people were dancing when a woman asked Avdhesh Sharma to play a particular song. Sharma, it is said, started arguing with her and also used foul language.
Things turned ugly when other people at the function also objected to Sharma’s behaviour.
The accused allegedly called his accomplices who attacked people with sharp weapons.
Sunil further alleged that Sharma flashed his gun and opened fire at him but he managed to escape unhurt.
Inspector Dharampal, SHO, division number 4 police station, said no arrest has been made so far. The accused have been booked under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon) and 149 of the IPC.s
