Panjab University: Syndicate to hold elections on Sunday, same day as MC polls

On December 18, arts faculty fellows and science faculty fellows will elect three members each for the Syndicate.

The Panjab University has decided to go ahead with conducting elections to the Syndicate on December 18. The elections are clashing with the Municipal Corporation elections.

On December 18, arts faculty fellows and science faculty fellows will elect three members each for the Syndicate. It will be followed by a meeting of Languages, Law and Medical Sciences Fellows where two fellow members from each faculty would be elected for the Syndicate. The meeting to elect three Syndicate members from Combined Faculty will also be held the same day. The Syndicate members are elected for a period of one year.

The meetings for election of Dean, Secretary and other business of law, medical sciences, dairying, animal husbandry and agriculture will be conducted on December 18. The meetings for election of Dean and for other business of faculties of arts, languages, business management and commerce, education, design and fine arts, science, engineering and technology and pharmaceutical sciences will be conducted on December 19.
