Panchkula: Female foetus found in Sector 23

A female foetus was found dumped at the open dumping site in Sector 23, Panchkula, on Wednesday.

The sanitation workers who were collecting junk from the garbage dump saw the foetus and informed the police.

The foetus was kept in the mortuary of the General Hospital in Sector 6.

A case under Section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of body) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Chandimandir police station.
