Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij to launch Satrangi Bistar Chadar on December 19

After its launch, these bedsheets will be dispatched for utilisation in all primary health centres, community health centres and civil hospitals.

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij will launch Satrangi Bistar Chadar from Civil Hospital, Panchkula, on December 19. After its launch, these bedsheets will be dispatched for utilisation in all primary health centres, community health centres and civil hospitals.

Stating this here on Friday, Director General Health Service Parveen Kumar Garg said that on the initiative of the Health Minister, bedsheets of seven different colours would be used for the first time in all hospitals in the state. For its successful implementation, the department has purchased 2,64,480 bedsheets with a cost of about Rs 5.26 crore. As many as 1,11,330 bedsheets in seven different colours — 17,431 of violet colour, 17,395 of indigo, 18,224 of blue, 17,112 of green, 17,097 of yellow, 7,596 of orange and 16,472 of peach colour — have already been sent to all district hospitals.

He said that bedsheets in every hospital would be replaced with a new colour everyday. Day’s name would be written on each bedsheet for its identification so that common citizen could confirm the change of bedsheet according to the day. He said that inspection about thread count, colour and washing of these bedsheets had been got conducted from the Government Textile Lab, Panipat. These bedsheets were being supplied in various hospitals after proper inspection.
