Chandigarh: Programme for Sri Lankan judges held at judicial academy

The programme covered a comprehensive range from constitutional to environmental issues.

A five-day academic programme of 28 Sri Lankan judges concluded on Friday at the Chandigarh Judicial Academy here in Sector 43. The programme covered a comprehensive range from constitutional to environmental issues. Other areas of contemporary importance like cyber crimes and appreciation of electronic evidence, commercial arbitration, sentencing principles, Public Interest Litigation and e-Court project of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana were discussed. The resource persons included Justice Vijender Jain, former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice M.M.S. Bedi, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Neeraj Aarora, Lawyer and International Arbitrator, Anupam Gupta, Senior Advocate and Prof. Paramjit S. Jaswal, Vice Chancellor, RGNLU, Patiala.
