BJP to take out ‘tiranga yatras’ across Punjab

The programmes are part of a national campaign ‘Azadi 70 - Yaad Karo Qurbani’.

The programmes are part of a national campaign ‘Azadi 70 – Yaad Karo Qurbani’. It comprises Tiranga March, Mashaal Jaloos (torch procession), rakhi celebration with security forces, rally at Hussaniwala, felicitation of kith and kin of martyrs, freedom fighters, INA heroes and ex-soldiers, floral tribute programmes at statues of freedom fighters, special programs at Sunam, Malrkotla, Moga and Madhopur, garlanding of Dr Ambedkar statues at Ludhiana, Amritsar and Jalandhar and in the end a ‘Tiranga yatra’ from Khatkarkalan to Jallianwala Bagh.

In a statement, the BJP said tiranga yatras would be organised at 215 places on August 13 and 14, Mashaal Jaloos (torch March) will be organised by BJP youth wing at more than hundred places in Punjab on August 14 and 16.
