Vadodara: Parul University student kills himself

The deceased, identified as Ankit Shah, a resident of Gotri area, was in third year of electrical engineering.

A 22-year-old student of engineering at Parul University in Vadodara committed suicide Thursday night allegedly out of “frustration” . The deceased, identified as Ankit Shah, a resident of Gotri area, was in third year of electrical engineering. According to police, Shah’s family was planning to have dinner together on Thursday evening as Ankit’s  sister had come to celebrate Rakhi. But just before the dinner, Ankit hanged himself in his room. Police have recovered the suicide note in which Shah wrote: “I am taking this extreme step because I tired of this life, reason behind my death is problems of my life…” On Thursday, fourth semester results were declared in which Shah got low scores. “A case of accidental death has been registered,” said officials at the Laxmipura police station.
