A member of the SPG executive, Chirag Patel, has written to Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel proposing that their leader Lalji Patel, who founded the SPG and has been working for the community for the last 17 years, should also be invited for talks.

The state government invited Hardik and PAAS for talks on Thursday. However, Hardik too has not approached Lalji for any pre-discussion to the meeting with the government, said Lalji.

PAAS will meet on Tuesday in Udaipur, where Hardik is confined following a bail condition, to discuss its next move.
