Kutch woman ‘murdered’ by brother-in-law

Rizwana’s murder comes a week after her husband Godji Sama was allegedly hacked to death by one Rajuji Sama.

A week after his younger brother was allegedly hacked to death by the paramour of the latter’s wife, a man allegedly murdered his sister-in-law to avenge the killing of his brother in Nandasar village of Rapar taluka in Kutch on Monday. Halaji Sama (35) allegedly attacked Rizwana Sama (26) with a scythe and killed her in her home in Nandasar village, some five kilometres north of Rapar town, police said. The incident took place at at around 1 pm and Rizwana died on the spot, police further said. Rizwana’s murder comes a week after her husband Godji Sama was allegedly hacked to death by one Rajuji Sama.
