The Mehsana district collectorate Thursday issued permissions to convert farmland to “non-agricultural” land in 15 cases. The event was held in the chairmanship of parliamentary secretary Bharatsinh Dabhi. A total area of 3,21,672 sq metres land under the talukas of Mehsana, Jotana, Kadi, Visnagar and Unjha of Mehsana district were given NA permission. District Collector Alok Kumar said this was the first event of its kind. “Usually, NA permission is required to be issued within 90 days from the receipt of application”, he said in a release.
