BJP to hold Tiranga Yatra from Aug 16 across Gujarat

L K Advani will lead an event in Ahmedabad on August 22, while Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu and CM Vijay Rupani will be present at a function in Dandi on August 17.

BJP has planned a week-long “Tiranga Yatra” across Gujarat from August 16 in the remembrance of martyrs and freedom fighters. Several Union ministers and senior BJP leaders are expected to participate in the Yatra. The announcement was made Friday during a state-level meeting. On the first day of the Yatra on August 16, Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan will preside over the event in Porbandar. L K Advani will lead an event in Ahmedabad on August 22, while Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu and CM Vijay Rupani will be present at a function in Dandi on August 17.
