Audi has launched the all-new, third-generation TT Coupe in India. One of the most accomplished sportscars of all time, the new Audi TT Coupe comes with a price-tag of Rs. 60.34 lakh, ex-showroom, pan-India. Given how well-equipped, good looking and brisk paced this new offering from Audi is, it certainly makes up for a tempting value for money proposition to those looking for an every-day sportscar for Indian roads.
Compared to the outgoing model, the new Audi TT Coupe packs a raft of features, gadgets and advanced technologies. For the Indian market, Audi will be offering the TT Coupe in only one petrol engine. The engine on topic here is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged unit that delivers 230PS of maximum power and 370Nm of peak-torque in the svelte sportscar.
Paired with a super-slick 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, power from the engine is channeled to all four wheels via Audi’s legendary quattro drivetrain. Since the new model is based on Volkswagen Group’s lightweight MQB platform, it sheds as much as 50 kilograms from its body as well. The result of all of which hustles the new TT Coupe from a naught to 100km/h in just 5.3 seconds as it continues on its way to hit the claimed top-speed of 250km/h.
Like mentioned above, the new TT Coupe has been brimmed with maximum number of equipment and features. Standard kit on the car includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, MMI-touch interface, Audi Virtual Cockpit, Cruise control with speed-limiter function, Audi Drive Select, multifunction steering wheel with paddle-shifters, leather upholstery, turbine shaped air conditioner vents with digital display on control knob, Audi Sound System with Bluetooth connectivity and 2 SD card readers, etc. Customers can also opt for a high-end Bang and Olufsen sound system and LED Matrix headlamps as an optional extra among other features.
Measuring in at 4.18 meters in length, the third-gen Audi TT Coupe is reasonably spacious, too. It features a 2+2-seat coupe layout while its luggage compartment can gobble up to 305-litre of your belongings.
The new Audi TT Coupe will be imported and sold in India as a CBU (completely built-up unit).
