Bajaj launches Pulsar RS200 at Rs. 1.18 lakh

The motorcycle will be available in two versions, non-ABS and ABS, prices for which are Rs. 1.18 lakh and Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.

Bajaj has officially launched the latest version of the Pulsar, Pulsar RS200, in the Indian market. Touted to be the fastest Pulsar produced till date, the RS200 is the first fully faired motorcycle of the Pulsar range. The motorcycle will be available in two versions, non-ABS and ABS, prices for which are Rs. 1.18 lakh and Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.

The Pulsar RS200 is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected, 199.5cc engine, which pumps out 24.5PS of power and 18.6Nm of torque, and promises a top speed of 141kmph. The motorcycle also becomes the first motorcycle from the stable of Bajaj Auto to be equipped with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), which is available as an optional equipment.

Other salient features of the Pulsar RS200 include twin projector headlamps, daytime running LEDs, part-digital instrument console, split seats, Nitrox monoshock suspension at the rear, midship exhaust, stiffer Perimeter frame, LED tail lamps mounted on the rear fender and LED turn indicators.

Commenting on the launch of the new Pulsar RS200, Eric Vas, President, Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto, said, “The Sports segment in India is poised for rapid growth driven by evolving customer preferences.  There is a large number consumers who expect true track performance from their bikes.  The new Pulsar RS 200 now enters the Super Sports segment with aerodynamically tested fairings, superior chassis and engine technology to deliver adrenaline pumping performance be it on tracks or real roads.” He also added, “We are already market and image leaders by far in the sports segment and with the launch of Pulsar RS 200 look forward to gaining leadership in the Super Sports segment as well.”
