Hyundai has made a reputation for itself as a manufacturer of high-quality, value-for-money cars. The new Elite i20, with it’s premium styling, high-quality interiors and plethora of equipment has become a popular choice in its segment, giving the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Volkswagen Polo etc. a run for their money.
Hyundai knows that it will not be very easy to topple the segment leader, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, but it has had plenty of success since it was launched in September 2014. But competition is growing quickly, the Swift received a host of new equipment in February 2015, the Polo received a face-lift and a new diesel engine earlier in 2014 and Honda will join the segment with the highly-acclaimed new Jazz.
We know that the new Jazz will get a touchscreen infotainment system, at least on the top end VX variant. Honda is known for its high-quality cars, and the new 1.5-litre diesel motor which will be fitted to the new Jazz has gained popularity for its driveability and efficiency. Hyundai sees the Jazz as a worthy opponent and has decided to add a touchscreen multimedia system to the Elite i20 as well.
