College student stabbed to death, two injured

Shamli (UP), Mar 01 (ANI): A student was stabbed to death by unidentified people at a bus stop in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh in a clash allegedly regarding a girl. In this clash, four students were injured out of which two students are critical. Three NCC students were at the stop waiting for the bus to their village when suddenly 10 to 12 boys arrived with knives and attacked the three boys. Police has begun investigations in the case.

Students in Coimbatore display self-made drones

Coimbatore, Feb 28 (ANI): The students from standard third to eight participated in an International Robotics Festival organised by robotic academy IroboChakra in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore city. They were trained into making simple robots and drones after which they created their own functional robots and displayed the same before the people. The participants made drones, Robo Arms, Power saw, Truck robo, Humanoid among others. The students also explained their creations. The winners of the competition will compete at the international level in May 2016 in the United States. robotic academy.

JNU row: Umar, Bhattacharya surrender

New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, who are facing sedition charges for allegedly raising anti-national slogans, surrendered before the Delhi Police last night. Following a medical check-up, the two were interrogated on Wednesday for around five hours and will be presented before the magistrate later in the day. Khalid and Bhattacharya are among the five students who, along with JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar, had allegedly shouted anti-national slogans at an event organised in the university campus on February 9.

New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Monday condemned speech of Jawaharlal Nehru University student Umar Khalid, accused of raising anti-national slogans, saying the students shouting 'Save JNU' slogans are the same people supporting Khalid's speech on Sunday night. An ABVP activist said the speech has again deteriorated the image of JNU, adding that some professors are continuously supporting such students. Another activist demanded that students and teachers indulged in 'anti-national' activities should be first punished by the university and then by the judiciary.
