Kochi, Jan 22 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Friday stated that Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar's died “due to poison”. He added that she died due to an overdose of anti-anxiety drug, Alprax, which if given in high dose, causes heart failure. He further said that Tharoor statement to the police was contradictory, which shows that he is hiding something, and now he has become the prime suspect in the investigation.

Jaipur, Jan 16 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday said that FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) report found presence of heart-arrest injectable poison Lidocaine in wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor Sunanda Pushkar’s body. He added that the Delhi police had categorically asserted that the cause of Pushkar’s death was not natural, and police should immediately take Tharoor into custody for questioning.

New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Dr. Sudhir Gupta, head of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) forensic department, on Saturday alleged that medical report reveals that death of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, was a sudden unnatural death and this had been said from the very beginning by the medical board. He added that the report was under consideration and the matter would be investigated accordingly.

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Friday said that as far as evidences were concerned until now, Sunanda Pushkar's, wife of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, death was unnatural. He added that the Delhi police have received medical board’s advice on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) lab report on viscera samples of Sunanda Pushkar to identify the cause of her death. Pushkar, 52, was found dead in a room in a south Delhi Hotel on January 17, 2014.
