Chandigarh, Feb 19 (ANI): An all-party meeting called by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was held in Chandigarh to discuss the rising demand for Jat reservation. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Jawahar Yadav said the meeting had been called to find a solution regarding the BJP-supported reservation issue. Jat community in Haryana has been repeatedly demanding reservation in government jobs and educational institutions under the Other Backward Class (OBC) category.

Chennai, Feb 10 (ANI): Supporting the Haryana's Health Minister Anil Vij statement on beef, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said there should be no controversy on Vij's remark, as they already have an act banning beef in the state. Totally agreeing with Vij's statement, he said that no beef in Haryana. Anil Vij on Wednesday stroked a fresh row saying those who cannot live without eating beef should not visit the state where stringent cow protection law is in place.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who completes one year in office later this month as the head of a BJP government, told The Indian Express in an interview that the cow, the Gita and Saraswati were articles of faith for the majority in the country, and that Muslims would not be violating their religious beliefs by giving up beef.
